Location:            Head Office in Ewloe, North Wales

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

 Regional Commercial teams are integral to the successful delivery of every Anwyl site. The Head of Commercial position within the commercial team is a senior role that focuses on setting out, and successfully implementing, the regional business strategy for delivering efficient cost control and procurement needs in line with business unit targets. The role sits on the regional business board and will an active part in setting the regional strategy as well as managing all members of the commercial team.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for implementing regional business strategy for all commercial needs and working closely with other Directors in the commercial management of the business
  • Effectively communicating the regional strategy to department and monitoring progress against targets
  • Regularly report ongoing financial situations onsite to the regional Managing Director
  • Produce Commercial reports for inclusion within Land Appraisals
  • Manage and motivate the commercial team and ensure that an effective departmental structure is in place to deliver business unit strategy
  • Be a proactive member of local office board
  • Manage overall procurement process and authorise orders in accordance with Group policy and procedures to facilitate each developments critical path.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience at senior management experience within a commercial function
  • Previous experience of working in residential development
  • An ability to demonstrate a capability to manage a large number of direct reports
  • An ability to demonstrate a strong strategic approach to commercials
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and hold a full UK drivers licence
  • An ability to motivate, lead and develop strong working relationships with internal and external customers
